There’s plenty of average in this world. Many of us live average lives, eat an average meal, and if and when we can go on vacation, we go to an average place. We live most of our days in the average bubble, but sometimes we need to break free of the mediocre and live it up. Well, at these four luxurious destinations, you can do exactly that. Which luxury city is calling your name?
There’s more to the Middle East than dune buggies and desserts. After you dust the sand off from exploring the incredible surrounds around Dubai, head back to the city for some pampering and fun. The city is known for superlatives. The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world with the world’s tallest restaurant perched at the very top. You can bet their food is top notch as well. Need a place to sleep for the night? The Burj Al Arab is the world’s only 7-star hotel and they deserve each star! You can also take a private boat around Dubai’s World Islands or the Palm Islands, or shop for days at the world’s largest mall.
Hawaii is an archipelago of paradise islands floating around the Pacific. Many choose to go to the Big Island, Oahu, or maybe even Kauai. There’s no bad choice when choosing which island to visit here, but many seem to think that Maui is “just right.” Although island life may seem relaxed and chilled out, there’s plenty to do here. There are awesome golf courses, pristine waters to snorkel in, and an impressive array of water sports to participate in. Maui is also a top foodie destination with scrumptious bites being served up around the clock. Live it up in the lap of luxury – island style!
Everyone knows Miami – hedonistic, beachy, festive, this seaside city is a hub for music festivals, food, history, culture, nightlife, and everything else under the sun! South Beach, or as the locals call it, SoBe, is the place to be seen. At night, the strip turns into a ultra-chic nightlife area with the best clubs and bars around. Take a cruise down past the Colony Hotel in a luxury rental car – a Jaguar, Cadillac, or Alfa Romeo, whichever takes your fancy – and see for yourself! There’s also some of the best restaurants in the state serving unique fusion food located in Miami, and of course, you’d be dining with the beautiful people of Miami all around you.
It’s hard to think of a luxurious destination without thinking about Paris. The last word in luxury chic, the City of Light is also one of the most romantic cities in the world. Paris offers gorgeous boulevards, ornate palaces converted into modern hotels, breathtaking views along the Seine, refined cuisine and luxury shops and boutiques galore for the discerning traveller. Paris is always a good idea.
